The DMEA would like to announce the winners of the 1st Annual DMEA Music Composition and Music Production Contests for the 2015-2016 School year.  We had 12 entries - 7 in Traditional Music Composition at both the High School and Middle School level and 5 in Electronic/Music Production all at the High School level.

The winners per category were:

High School Traditional Music Composition:
    Ryan Meredith from Caravel Academy   Composition entitled “Royal - A Revolution”

Middle School Traditional Music Composition:
    Jaskiran Singh from MOT Charter    Composition - "Jessie's Song"

High School Electronic Music/Music Production:
    Quinto Scacheri from St. Andrews School   Composition entitled “Perugian Settee”


Congratulations to all of these young composers as well as to the other 9 who entered works.  These works will be featured on the DMEA website and will be played prior to Delaware All-State Concerts in the coming year.  In addition, the winners for traditional will receive their own copy of Finale PrintMusic and the winner for Electronic Music/Music Production will receive a one year renewable subscription to ProTools.
